Our Name

Every name has a meaning. The meaning also reflects the name. The Missionary Servants of Divine Providence (MSDP) and its affiliate (MSDPFS) is rooted very deeply in the spirituality of Our Mother Mary, Mother of Divine Providence. It is Charismatic and Eucharistic in nature. It is our ardent desire to be with the Lord Jesus Christ through the intercession of Our Mother Mary, the Mother of our Lord. It is an experience and the result of our baptism in the “Holy Spirit”. We the daughters of Our Mother Mary, and Our Lady of God Divine Providence, through her, seek for a renewed grace in order to be able to carry out our missionary works with open hearts and minds in relation to her's and those of her Son, our Lord Jesus. This name will enable us the Servants of Divine Providence to be personally and collectively transformed through the inspiration that come our ways as it deed for our Mother Mary when the Angel Gabriel visited her.(Lk1:26-38). This our spirituality is embedded in charity, humility and penance expressed in contemplation of fraternal love of God among ourselves and the people we serve. (2Cor. 5:14). We strive to live this life by co,ntinuous prayer life, contemplation, and a deep devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. We are ready and quick to offer help when it is needed in imitation of Our Mother Mary to her cousin Elizabeth. (Lk1 :39-45). We are free vessels and instruments of service in God's hands. In this light, the sisters' apostolic actions must be an extension of Christ's compassionate presence in the world most especially in attending to the neglected, the powerless, the suffering and the wounded, clean them of their agony and put smiles on their faces as seen on every Christian during Easter.
